Pioneer Park
Location – From downtown Hot Sulphur Springs near the post office, proceed west on Grand Avenue over the bridge across the Colorado River and turn left or right into the 80-acre park. The South portion of the park is within walking distance to the hot springs resort and town restaurants, motels and shops. Do not be alarmed – Wildland training for local fire departments may occur in the park from time to time.
Amenities – Fishing, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking, wildlife viewing, disc golf course, port-a-potties, trash receptacles for campers, 14 numbered RV and tent camping sites with campfire areas and picnic table.
- Camping in designated sites only for $20 per night. 14 day stay allowed. Potable water is available in the Town Park behind the restrooms – CURRENTLY OPEN (closed approx. October-May). Pioneer Park Full Map
- A free disc golf course is available for all visitors to enjoy! Laid out along the Colorado River, the course is well marked with a variety of tight and open holes. 1 course and 18 holes total. Put name and phone number on discs. Please return lost discs to Town Hall. Disc Golf Map
- There is excellent snowshoeing, cross country skiing and hiking in the park during the winter months.
- Pioneer Park is dog friendly. Leash law in effect! Please clean up after your pet.
