Pioneer Park

Location – From downtown Hot Sulphur Springs near the post office, proceed west on Grand Avenue over the bridge across the Colorado River and turn left or right into the 80-acre park.  The South portion of the park is within walking distance to the hot springs resort and town restaurants, motels and shops.  Do not be alarmed – Wildland training for local fire departments may occur in the park from time to time.

Amenities – Fishing, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking, wildlife viewing, disc golf course, port-a-potties, trash receptacles for campers, 14 numbered RV and tent camping sites with campfire areas and picnic table.

  • Camping – Pioneer Park Campground is OPEN! Campsites are available on a first come, first serve basis, NO RESERVATIONS!  The Town reminds all users that high water could be a possibility at any time as river levels may flood banks. Please use caution around the river and be aware of your surroundings. Campers are also reminded to be bear aware and properly store food as not to attract any bear friends! A camp host is set up at camp site #1 and machine is ready to accept your money. Campsites are $20/night and machine takes credit cards, debit cards and cash. Exact amount only.   • A free disc golf course is available for all visitors to enjoy! Laid out along the Colorado River, the course is well marked with a variety of tight and open holes. 1 course and 18 holes total.  Put name and phone number on discs.  Please return lost discs to Town Hall.  Disc Golf Map
  • There is excellent snowshoeing, cross country skiing and hiking in the park during the winter months.
  • Pioneer Park is dog friendly. Leash law in effect! Please clean up after your pet.
